Our Story
Why Thrive Divergence Exists
As neurodivergent occupational therapists who have navigated both the healthcare system as patients and as providers, we've seen firsthand the gaps in care for autistic and ADHD adults.
We've witnessed brilliant, complex individuals drop out of substance use treatment programs because the sensory environment was overwhelming. We've seen clients labeled as "resistant" or "non-compliant" when they were actually struggling with unrecognized executive functioning differences. We've watched talented healthcare professionals want to help but lack the knowledge and tools to adapt their approaches.
We founded Thrive Divergence to bridge these gaps.
We believe that effective healthcare must honor neurological differences, not pathologize them. We know that neurodivergent individuals can achieve meaningful growth and recovery when treatment approaches meet them where they are. And we're committed to equipping healthcare professionals and organizations with the knowledge and strategies to provide truly affirming, effective care.
Our work combines the clinical rigor of occupational therapy, the evidence base of neurodiversity research, and the authentic insight of lived experience. We're here to transform how healthcare serves neurodivergent communities—one individual, one professional, and one organization at a time.
